Fly Fabulous Friday!

Eye Spy: Warm Gloves, Fab Scarves and Chic Hats…Oh My!

Guest Blogger: Sereeda of Eclechick.com

Jack Frost is in rare form now, nipping at your nose, ears, fingertips…EVERYTHING! The weather is sending signals alerting us to whip out gloves, scarves and hats; one question rings loud and clear. Are my cold weather accessories FAB or DRAB??? I’ve been doing some window shopping, online perusing and magazine nose dives and found this season’s “must-have” cold weather accessories.

Diving in head first; the trapper is making appearances in fashion spreads and luxury boutiques. Why? They’re playful, chic and functional. I love it when I’m able to find a piece that looks fab and gets the job done.

Amber trapper- Coach
Coach’s luxe trapper is fit for any fashion forward chick that isn’t afraid of walking on the wild side. The suede shearling and fox fur trim ushers in a sophisticated look, eons away from the design made famous by Elmer Fudd. J

Next up is the infinity scarf. I personally love the name – infinity scarf; makes me think that it goes on and on…providing warmth at all times. In a sense it does. No folding, tucking, knotting or fancy scarf wrapping skills needed with this design.

Simply slip it over your head and VOILA; you have all of the perks of a perfectly layered scarf look, without the hassle of doing the fancy wrap work! Maybe the infinity scarf isn’t your forte. Try this season’s hottest print…leopard!
For ultimate manicure protection and warmth, slip on some gloves. Knit gloves are great but lined leather gloves are soooooo much better!! Once your hands have experienced the feeling of being surrounded by leather and cashmere…they won’t want to be covered by anything else!
L-Juicy Couture, M- Coach, R-Coach
Edgy, classic, feminine and modern are just a few of the words that flooded my mind when I saw these gloves. You can’t go wrong with any selection!! Each design goes beyond the wrist area, but aren’t too long; the perfect length to keep Jack Frost from creeping underneath your coat jacket and nipping at bare skin. Plus, all of them are lined with cashmere…what else could you ask for?

You’ve gotten your cold weather accessories in order, now let’s revisit that FAB or DRAB question again…after deep contemplation, assurance that you’ll choose any of the above and an intense examination I say your cold weather accessories are FAB!!!

*Wine Wednesday*

"Champagne and orange juice is a great drink.  The orange improves the champagne.  The champagne definitely improves the orange."
-Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

Nothing says "hello, good morning" like a refreshing mimosa.  This classic cocktail of half sparkling wine and half orange juice pairs well with french toast, frittata, and various breakfast danishes.  When making this delightful drink, refrain from using your best champagne/sparkling wine.  This is because, the orange juice dilutes the champagne preventing one from experiencing the full quality of the bubbly.  Now, raise your mimosas in the air and toast to a new fabulous day!
