What We're Sipping: FLASQ Wines

FLASQ Chardonnay and Merlot
I had the opportunity to experience wine drinking in a totally different light; wine from a can, the wine of the future. FLASQ wines (pronounced flask), from the vineyards of California, has created an innovative new way to consume wine. Portable, delicious and better for the environment since more people tend to recycle aluminum than glass—all around a fantastic idea. I don’t know what deserves more buzz, the new look or the taste! I assure you both are fantastic.
FLASQ’s bottles contain two glasses of wine and are available in Chardonnay and Merlot. Thought both equally enjoyable, I fell in love with the bold taste of the Merlot due to the rich dark berries with a bit of spice creating a smooth, sultry blend  best paired with red meat and select pastas.
Hailing from Monterey County with flavors of green apple, pineapple, butterscotch and balanced acidity, this California Chardonnay will not disappoint. I foresee this wine being my summer “must have” while laying poolside, attending an outdoor concert, or grilling with friends.

Suggested to those that enjoy: California Chardonnay and Merlot

Flasq Wines: $6.99
